Kuemper Campus Ministry exists for the purpose of uniting the student body through prayer, community, and service, and to empower students to take ownership of their faith. The Church is alive and well, and our mission as Catholics is to spread the Good News of our faith to the whole world.
For more information about any trip or event please contact our Campus Minister, Julie Masching, at [email protected].
In 2024, we started doing adoration after some of the sporting events. It ended up being one of our biggest activities ever! We were offered Adoration so that Christ could have the opportunity to speak to our hearts. It is very hard to hear Jesus sometimes among all the noise. Offering Adoration means we get the opportunity to experience and encounter Christ in a powerful way. We follow adoration with snacks and games. Doing activities like this is a very bonding experience and a way to make good true friends.
Kuemper High School has a Bible Study on Wednesday nights. Currently we are studying the Word on Fire - Gospels. Studying the Bible helps us deepen our understanding of God’s nature, plan and His love for us. Going to bible study not only strengthens our relationships and builds community, but it gives us the courage to share God’s message with others. We put our studies into action by doing things like helping in the community, fundraising and Christmas Carolling to spread the Christmas spirit.
Kairos is a retreat offered by Kuemper twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. Kairos means God’s time. It is a student-led retreat. Kairos is offered to all junior and senior students. It is a 4-day retreat held at the Creighton University Retreat Center, providing students with an opportunity to escape their busy schedules and focus on listening to God. This is a Kuemper favorite! Most students report that they learn a great deal at the retreat and would recommend it to their peers. If you have any questions about this retreat, please get in touch with Mrs. Masching at [email protected].
